Poudre Systems exists because there's a gap in the market that I kept running into from the inside: HR teams who own a system they can't fully configure, with a vendor support model that wasn't built to actually fix anything.

I'm Nicholas — I've spent years inside HR system platforms across Workday, Paycom, UKG, ADP, Paylocity, Cornerstone, and PeopleSoft. Implementation, optimization, reporting and analytics, integrations, LMS configuration. Both sides of the desk: as the admin running the system, and as the consultant brought in to clean up after someone else's.

This business is fractional and vendor-agnostic on purpose. No reseller relationships, no software kickbacks, no incentive to recommend the platform that pays the highest referral. The only thing I'm selling is honest expertise — usually delivered in 5–20 hour increments to companies who don't need a full-time hire but can't keep limping along either.

What I actually do, day to day.

The work itself is unglamorous and specific. These are the categories that come up most.

Configuration & Workflows

Building, rebuilding, and untangling the workflows your system is supposed to automate — onboarding, status changes, approvals, terminations.

Reporting & Analytics

Custom reports, Power BI dashboards, and the answers to questions your default reports can't give you.

Integrations

HR to payroll, benefits, ATS, learning platforms — built, fixed, or replaced when the vendor's API limits get in the way.

LMS & Learning

Course configuration, automation workarounds, compliance training rollouts. The piece of HR that gets ignored until it doesn't.
