The systems your business runs on should talk to each other.

Poudre Systems builds the integrations, automations, and internal tools that connect HR, payroll, finance, and operations, so your team stops rekeying data and starts trusting it.

The usual situation

Good software, badly connected.

Most mid-market companies don't have a software problem. They have a seams problem. The gaps between platforms are held together by exports, spreadsheets, and one person who knows the trick.

RekeyingThe same employee, hours, or invoice entered by hand in two or three systems every cycle.

ReconciliationPayroll and the general ledger disagree, and someone spends a day each period finding out why.

Spreadsheet glueA critical process lives in a workbook on one laptop, and nobody else can run it.

No clean reportingLeadership asks a simple question and it takes three exports and a pivot table to answer.

Services

Three ways we work together.

Most engagements start small and specific. The goal is always the same: the process runs without anyone babysitting it.

System integrations

Point-to-point and multi-system pipelines between the platforms you already own.

  • HRIS to payroll to general ledger
  • Time tracking to billing and job costing
  • Onboarding and access provisioning
  • Scheduled syncs with real error handling

Process automation

The recurring manual work that eats a day a week, turned into something that just runs.

  • Report generation and distribution
  • Data validation and audit checks
  • Spreadsheet processes rebuilt properly
  • Alerting when something actually breaks

Fractional engineering

Senior integration and development capacity on retainer, without adding headcount.

  • A few days a month, ongoing
  • Own and maintain what's already built
  • Vendor and implementation support
  • A technical seat at the table

Capabilities

Whatever the work actually requires.

Integration work rarely stays in its lane. When a project needs an interface, an endpoint, or a place for the data to land, it gets built. No second vendor, no handoff.

API development

Designing and building REST APIs, plus integrating against the ones your vendors give you, documented or not.

Internal applications

Web apps and dashboards for the workflows no off-the-shelf product covers. Built to be handed over, not held hostage.

Websites

Clean, fast, mobile-first marketing sites, designed, built, and deployed, with the contact and lead handling wired up.

Data & reporting

Warehousing, transformation, and reporting layers so the numbers come from one place and agree with each other.

How it works

Short path from conversation to working software.

Conversation

Thirty minutes on what's manual, what's breaking, and what it's costing. No pitch deck.

Scope and fixed price

A written scope with a flat price and a delivery date. You approve it before anything starts.

Build and verify

Built, tested against your real data, and run in parallel until the output matches.

Handover or hold

Documented and handed to your team, or kept running under a support retainer. Your call.

About

You work with the engineer, not an account manager.

Poudre Systems is Nick Sanburg. Over twenty years in system design, implementation, and corporate data governance, at organizations ranging from the enterprise end down to fifty-person shops. Long enough to have been the person cleaning up after a bad implementation, and long enough since to know how to keep from being that person again.

That background is the reason the work holds up. Systems fail on the details: the pay period that spans a month boundary, the terminated employee who still has a timesheet, the API that returns success and writes nothing. Knowing where those live is worth more than knowing another framework.

Governance is the other half of it. Anyone can move data between two systems. Making sure it stays correct, stays owned, and can be explained to an auditor a year later is the part most projects skip.

The company is deliberately small. You talk to the person writing the code, scope gets decided in one conversation, and nothing is priced to feed an agency.
